I Need A Moment To Deliberate

I intend to curse and write endless expletives in this blog yesterday when I heard there was a possible sabotage from one unfavourable person. Alhamdulillah, doa orang-orang yang teraniaya sangat makbul (hehehe!) and I believe our superior recognised a relevant and better job when he saw one.

Received a text message at about 11.00 p.m. yesterday stating that I had to go to the office. SIGH! But then again, having things your way was not only a consolation price but also PRICELESS!!

A thousand apologies to my other-half for having to wait a long 3 hours whilst I made the amendments today. But he’s back, so… YEAY!!

Thaipusam holiday timetable:

6.30 a.m.: Wake up for Subuh prayers. Was so tempted to go back to sleep but house chores awaits. DAMN!

6.45 a.m. - 8.30 a.m.: Sweeping and mopping.

8.30 a.m.: Faiq woke up. Let him watch t.v while I bathed. Ready to go to Dadima’s house for breakfast.

8.45 a.m.: On the way to Dadima’s house, heard on the radio that Heath Ledger died at the age of 28. Cause of death: Drug overdose. May be suicide. What a shame! He is one of my favourite actors. DARN!

9.00 a.m.: Breakfast at Dadima’s. Puri & Chapatti with keema. Yummers!

10 a.m.: Bathed Faiq. Waited for Rafiq to return from his 40km cycling escapade around Putrajaya.

11.45 a.m.: Left Dadima’s house. Went to Aden’s sister’s house in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn.

1.30 p.m.: Arrived at home. Rafiq and Faiq are yet to arrive. Sweep and mop me room.

2.00 p.m.: Angkat kain jemuran, fold ‘em and ironing chores. Loads of ‘em. Sheesh!!

5.00 p.m.: Pack me bags for a 4 days 3 nights trip to D.U. Wash the bathroom & toilet.

HAPPY AND CONTENT IS THIS WOMAN BECAUSE HER HOUSE SMELLS OF AJAX FABULUSO!! YEAY!! TALK ABOUT LITTLE WONDERS!

6.30 p.m.: Sent Rafiq to the Bandar Tasik Selatan ERL Station. Headed to D.U.

8.30 p.m.: Made our way to my bro’s house for dinner cum Mama’s 81st birthday. The menu: mushroom soup, roast chicken, mashed potatoes, minty+ lemony soda, grapes, birthday cake and tea.

11.00 p.m.: Balik rumah and put Faiq to sleep. He dozed off almost immediately, alhamdulillah.

Missing my other-half :o(

Two excellent news to start my Monday:

1. Chong Wei won the Malaysian Open’s Men’s Singles; and

2. Thaipusam was declared a public holiday for KL & Putrajaya!

Woohoo! Yippee!! I’m elated!!

The preparation day started on 4 Jan 2008. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take leave because I had a meeting in the morning. Bought Faiq’s baju Melayu, sampin and songkok at Alamanda and then went to pick up the bakul mas kahwin and bunga mas kahwin from Zavina in Taman Mesra. Kudos to her, she did a fantastic job! Sent her to a service centre in Balakong to pick up her dad’s car, drove back to AD to pack my stuff and Faiq’s. By the time I picked up Faiq from the nursery, it was almost 5 p.m. Reached D.U. at about 5.30 p.m. Some of my relatives were already there filling the chocs in the bekas bunga telur. Drove mom to Taman Tun to pick up some stuff, was supposed to pick up more stuff but it started raining cats and zebras and elephants and dogs at about 6 p.m. So I helped out in the bunga telur department untuil Faiq started crying coz ada selumbar termasuk dalam kaki dia. Aunty Leela, my siblings and I were practically wrestling with him to get it out but to no avail. Our relatives left after maghrib and sometime after that, my bro, my sis in-law together with her sister and mom came to help out with the hantaran. My sister in-law brought the sireh junjung she made. She too did an excellent job, it was so beautiful and has a nice scent..a combination of red roses and jasmine.

I am not that creative with gubahan and all so I leave it to my sis in-law to do the gubahan on the bekas cincin. Helped out mana yang terdaya. At about 9.30 p.m., upon realising that we will never succeed in taking out the selumbar, I brought Faiq to the clinic. There was another wrestling session there. He was screaming and crying and kicking (my li’l man is very strong!) and finally after going through that ordeal, selumbar telah berjaya dikeluarkan. When we reached home at about 10 p.m., my uncle and aunt came as well. Couldn’t help much as I had to take care of Faiq. By the time he slept, it was almost midnight. I iron our clothes and went to lala land at almost 1 a.m.

Alhamdulillah, on 5 January 2008, at approximately 9.30 a.m., my younger brother, G, telah selamat diijabkabulkan dengan Haslina. I still remember him telling me about him fancying her. They were engaged on 8 January 2006. And today, she is my sister.
