I Need A Moment To Deliberate

I can’t believe I have to drag my @s$ to the office after 1 week of eternal bliss!! Sigh..

My leave started on Wednesday, on the eve of Eid Adha. I was in D.U at the time so did nothing much. Decided to pick Rafiq from the airport. In the evening, he kept calling to inform that his flight was delayed. He only arrived at 10 p.m. That was when we saw the heavy traffic on the highway and thanked God we were on the other side of the road.

20 Dec 2007: Left for Dadima’s house at 7.45 p.m. Rafiq and the guys went for Eid prayers while the ladies stayed at home and set the table. Before we ate, kami bersalam-salaman dan bermaaf-maafan and Dada gave his khutbah. Rafiq took Faiq on a motorbike ride to see the korban near the surau. There were 8 cows to be slaughtered this year, alhamdulillah. Left for D.U at about 11 a.m. Uncle Jan’s family came to visit in the evening. Left D.U after Maghrib.

21 Dec 2007: Pavilion KL, here I come!! Took the opportunity to check out the latest shopping outlet in KL whilst Rafiq went for his interview. Not a good idea to shop with Faiq as I only managed to make a purchase in Body Shop whilst he tugged and pulled my tudung coz he refused to be carried. Even the Baskin & Robbins bribe didn’t work..sigh! Will make a point to go again in peace during my long break!

22 Dec 2007: Went over to Dadima’s for breakfast. Rafiq sent his car for service and played tennis. Cooked lunch, went back home to get our swimming attire, headed to Kak Tine’s condo. Had to wait a while as it started to rain when we arrived. Gi swimming, left condo after maghrib, went to pasar malam to buy YTF, dinner at Dadima’s and went back home whilst Rafiq contemplated whether he should do 26km cycling the next day.

23 Dec 2007: At 4.30 a.m…saw Rafiq getting ready for cycling. Woke up at 8 a.m. Had breakfast, lazed around until it was time to get ready for Emma’s birthday. As usual, Rafiq didn’t have any problem looking for the place. On the way to the place, we stopped for petrol and as Rafiq was about to go out to pay at the kiosk, Faiq said, "Babah, nak ikut you!!" Hahahaa…we laughed and laughed. It was so funny how "parotty" he has become since he started speaking. How fast my little man has grown :o)

It was a pleasure meeting up with Mazura as I haven’t seen her in ages and she looks good and radiant..just like a 4 months old pregnant woman should look :o) Was introduced to Zairin, ex-student of PPP ITM Shah Alam, who knew my ADIL classmates (another what a small world moment!!). Then it was a birthday party cum reunion for SMDU as Nizam (Mazura’s hubby) knew my juniors so berjejak kasih with Idayu, Fara Diba & Elly Nor. Mazura even commented, "Senang la ajak kau nih Yong. Mesti ada je orang yang kau kenal. Tak payah aku susah-susah nak layan kau!" Hahaha. By the time the A&W Bear arrived, Faiq dah nak balik (either he was tired or he was just plain scared of the bear..hahahaah!). Balik rumah..practically lepak :o)

24 Dec 2007: This is the day I became an evil mother because I sent Faiq to the nursery so that I could shop! I honestly fely guilty but there was no other way. Sorry Baby Mama. After sending Rafiq to Bukit Damansara’s Fitness First, went to fetch Dhirah at D.U. Baru laa boleh tengok all the shops one by one, go ga-ga over Tangs, various handbags, Coach, Juicy Couture & Thomas Sabo boutiques..sigh..the list could go on and on and on. Had brunch at The Loaf. Managed to shop for a few stuffs, thanks to K.Ida’s birthday voucher :o) Rafiq joined us for lunch. Then we went back to our house and picked up Faiq from the nursery. On the way to D.U, Rafiq stopped by his fave tailor in Bangsar to alter his pants (almaklumla, sekarang sumer seluar besar and dah longgar). It was raining cats and dogs when we reached TMC and TMC tu dah macam nak banjir..when I went out of the shop the water level was ankle deep OK! Stayed in D.U until after Maghrib, sampai rumah..watched Amazing Race and tido..

25 Dec 2007: Headed to Armanee Terrace for swimming whilst Rafiq played tennis. Headed to D.U..helped out in the kitchen for tea. Planned to go visit Rosh for Christmas but was really short of time. Meeting started at 4.30 p.m. Can’t believe my younger bro is getting married in 8 days time! Luckily Faiq was fast asleep so no disturbance during meeting. Got home at about 8.30 p.m. Dead tired but a holiday well spent!
